An American Cry
A cry from Americans in every geographical location, is falling on the deaf ears of congress. Although, democrat senators have given no consideration to the concerns of the American people, over the proposed health care reform bill; they and their elected state governments, are poised to challenge the constitutional validity of this measure.
In my opinion, the government in general, but especially on the federal level, over-reached it's bounds long ago; however, the level of encroachment on our constitutional liberties this health care reform bill presents, has no precedence.
It seems every new bill coming out of Washington is written for the purpose of satisfying special interest, or feeding our government's growing appetite for power. While most responsible Americans work to provide safety and security to their families; there is a war being waged on their freedom and liberty.
We are barely a year into this president's term, and already our children's financial futures have been mortgaged for the foreseeable future; meanwhile, the only plan being offered to circumvent, a collapse of the US econmy is another massive entitlement program.
For any freethinking American, this should be an obvious sign of the intent and purposes of the "leadership" in Washington. There is clearly a disconnect between the concerns of the American people, and the agenda of Washington officials.
While 1/10th of the American population are unemployed, and many more are under-employed, our own government is diligently working to place new tax burdens upon us, as well as mandate the purchase of health insurance. Are they crazy? Our economy can't withstand this blow; not when a large portion of the economy is already struggling to pay their mortgage and mortgage insurance; their car payment and car insurance, and the tax increases that have already taken place on the federal and state levels, all over this nation.
The intent here seems clear to me. If their purpose was to create a strong economy and a prosperous populace, we would be headed in a politically opposite direction; instead we are creating an economic atmosphere for irresponsibility and dependence. Which itself would expand the power and reach of the federal government.
The American people must wake up, and recognize the attack that is being perpetuated upon our lives, liberties, and freedoms. This can be fixed, but will take the acts of strong leaders, with a subservient attitude toward government.

Wow!, this was a real quality post. In theory I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real effort to make a good article... but what can I say... I keep putting it off and never seem to get something done.
